GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Drivos.com is a website maintained by Drivos Oy (Business ID: 2635526-4). The following terms and conditions apply to the commercial relationship between Drivos Oy and its customers when shopping on the online store.

Drivos Oy reserves the right to change these terms and conditions unilaterally without prior notice. The terms and conditions that apply to orders are those in effect at the time of the order and can be found on the Drivos Oy website. Changes in the law will come into effect immediately unless otherwise specified by law.

Drivos Oy is not responsible for any damage caused by force majeure. Force majeure refers to any unforeseeable circumstance or condition that Drivos Oy cannot reasonably overcome or that is outside its control. Drivos Oy is obligated to notify the customer of any force majeure event as soon as it is possible.

CUSTOMER

Customers of Drivos Oy can be consumers, businesses, and organizations.

In consumer sales, applicable Finnish and European Union consumer protection laws will be followed. These terms and conditions do not apply to the extent that they limit the rights of consumers as mandated by mandatory legislation.

In business transactions between business customers and Drivos Oy, the Finnish Commercial Code applies unless otherwise specified in these terms and conditions.

When placing an order, the customer is required to provide complete contact information, including their name, address, phone number, and email address. Business customers are additionally required to provide their business ID and, if necessary, the billing address.

The privacy statement, in accordance with the Data Protection Regulation, can be viewed here. Customer information is stored in Drivos Oy’s customer register, and this information is used for maintaining customer relationships. Drivos Oy has the right to process and disclose the information in the register for justified purposes (e.g., direct marketing) in accordance with the Personal Data Act (523/99).

PRODUCTS AND PRICING

Product prices include VAT but do not include shipping costs unless otherwise stated. Drivos.com reserves the right to cancel an order if the product was sold at an incorrect price due to pricing errors, system malfunctions, or similar issues. Prices will be checked at the time of order processing.

Up-to-date information on available payment methods can be found on Drivos.com. Credit-based payment methods may involve additional terms and conditions between the consumer and the credit provider.

Product availability information is based on delivery times provided by importers and manufacturers. Drivos or its suppliers are not responsible for delays caused by unforeseen changes outside their control, and Drivos does not guarantee the delivery of products that are not immediately available for shipment.

DELIVERY METHODS

The processing time for orders is approximately 1-3 business days from the automatically sent order confirmation. The delivery time of the order is influenced by whether the products are in Drivos’s own warehouse or at the supplier/importer’s warehouse. We use Posti and Matkahuolto delivery services. More detailed information on delivery methods can be found here. Orders are generally shipped in one package.

Drivos Oy reserves the right to change the delivery method or cancel the order if the customer’s selected delivery method is not possible. Uncollected packages will be automatically returned to the sender. A charge of 25 euros for delivery and handling costs will be applied for uncollected packages.

RIGHT OF RETURN

Drivos offers customers a 14-day right of return in accordance with Chapter 6 of the Finnish Consumer Protection Act. The purpose of this law is to give consumers the right to inspect the product as they would in a store. Drivos Oy grants customers the legal right to inspect the contents of the package. The product packaging should be opened with general care. The consumer must notify Drivos Oy of the return within 14 days of receiving the product. Return instructions will be provided with the return notice and are also available in the delivery and return terms.

The right of return does not apply to:

  • Electrical products such as CDI units, ignition parts, valve adjustment pieces, and injectors
  • Spare parts that cannot be used as new

Restrictions apply in accordance with Chapter 6, Section 16 of the Consumer Protection Act.

A return fee of 7 euros will be charged, which covers the cost of shipping and handling. No return fee will be charged for product or delivery errors. The sender is responsible for packaging the product. The products must be packed carefully to avoid damage during transport.

Drivos Oy is not responsible for damage to returns that have been poorly packaged or that do not comply with the terms and conditions. Any costs resulting from errors on the consumer's part will be charged to the customer.

Drivos Oy reserves the right to charge the customer if a return is made without reason or in violation of the delivery and return terms.

WARRANTY AND LIABILITY FOR DEFECTS

If the consumer suspects that the product is defective, they are obligated to report the issue to Drivos Oy’s customer service without delay. The consumer cannot decide the warranty status of a product. The warranty status is determined by the manufacturer of the product.

Drivos Oy is not responsible for damages caused by the buyer.

Complaints will only be handled in writing. A complaint can be submitted informally via email to Drivos Oy’s customer service (info(at)drivos.com) or by letter to our warehouse.

In the case of disputes, the consumer customer has the right to submit disputes arising from this agreement to the Consumer Disputes Board for resolution. The customer can file a lawsuit against Drivos Oy in either the district court of Drivos Oy's registered office or the district court of the customer’s residence in Finland. If the customer does not have a place of residence in Finland, disputes will be handled in the district court of Drivos Oy’s registered office. Legal fees will not be reimbursed, as consumer advice and the Consumer Disputes Board offer free assistance in resolving disputes.
